“When you can’t find the Sunshine, be the Sunshine” (Unknown)
As a lover of our glorious countryside myself, I love nothing more than spending time in the great outdoors. Horses and dogs are a big part of my life too. Everything and anything countryside I enjoy… places to visit, fashion, off the beaten track businesses, field to fork, walking and wildlife with everything in between.
Looking for somewhere to share these interests, I naturally gravitated towards social media but I just couldn’t find what I was looking for. In my head I imagined a place that was both informative and fun. Somewhere to meet others, learn about different topics and have lots of resources to hand for whatever I wanted in that moment. A community is what I really needed.
In August 2019 I took up the challenge of creating that missing platform with a dream of creating something ladies like me could enjoy too. Starting out on Instagram to test the water wondering if this was something others needed, I was overwhelmed with the response. The most common feedback was something like this was missing. Amongst the busyness of social media and limitless accessibility of the digital era we live in, women like us yearn for a space just for us and the things we enjoy. So here is the Ladies Countryside Community…
We have our very own dedicated team of fellow country-loving ladies who enjoy sharing their experiences and interests. From their locations across the UK, our Regional Reporters create articles for our community with the freedom to cover topics they choose and enjoy such as recipes, days out, interviews, sightseeing, tales from the farm…the choice is endless!
Our RR Team covers Scotland to Cornwall and everywhere in between. Click here to meet the team.
If you enjoy writing and would like to join our RR Team of incredible ladies please contact us here for all the details.
Our platform has been created so that both individuals and businesses can join the community.

Supporting rural, passion-led businesses and organisations is the reason we created our Rural and Countryside Directory. We’ve created this opportunity in the Ladies Countryside Community to help showcase our ethos of shop local and support local. Bringing businesses and organisations together in our directory offers our members quick access to products and services across the UK and a direct link for you to our blossoming audience with a passion for the countryside. Beyond the directory there is a choice of options for you to work with us here at the Ladies Countryside Community.
